Description
This rum is hand-blended in small batches from several different, up to 20-year-old rum distillates of the "Vedderburn and Plummer" type, which is a molasses-based rum produced by slow fermentation. It is distilled in the traditional "Pot Still" for rum with an alcohol strength of 65% and is not cold filtered or added caramel. This gives the Navy rum an extremely dark, almost black color with complex notes of coffee, anise, licorice burnt caramel molasses, spices and cedar wood. Combined with an exotic and elegant taste of orange and bergamot fruits. Finishing with a long rich and sweet aftertaste, which is in perfect balance with the original Navy rum alcohol strength of 55%.
