Behind Virtudo Ripasso Superiore stands Luigi Piacentinis, who is the epitome of quality wines from the Valpolicella area. The word "Ripasso" means "to repass" and covers a technique where the young Valpolicella wine is allowed to re-ferment on the grape pomace from the Amarone production, whereby the wine acquires more alcohol, structure, color and taste.
